One of the most popular words in Spanish is hola which means hi or hello. In the third column, students will attempt the double negative, placing the negative word after the verb with a “ no” before the verb. alguno/a/as/os, algún - a, one, any, some. (negative situation) Take a look at the Spanish affirmative and negative words below: Affirmative Words. In the second column, have students write their sentence in Spanish with the negative word before the verb. Negative word: There is no one here to help me clean this spill. In this activity, students will write original sentences to practice negation and double negatives. This double negative concept can take some getting used to, especially as students work from English to Spanish.
